Archi-Tectonics, lo studio di architettura pluripremiato e certificato WBE, con sedi a New York City, Amsterdam e Hangzhou, fondato nel 1994 e oggi guidato da Winka Dubbeldam e Justin Korhammer, ha presentato il suo ultimo progetto di design research, Synthetic Natures. Attraverso il design digitale, tecniche di fabbricazione all’avanguardia e paesaggi multifunzionali, lo studio ridefinisce i confini della pratica architettonica contemporanea.
La mostra ha esplorato la fusione tra sistemi sintetici e naturali, immaginando l’ambiente costruito come un ecosistema dinamico e bio-integrato. Affrontando le sfide dell’Antropocene, Synthetic Natures indaga materiali ibridi e strategie progettuali reattive che dissolvono i confini tra architettura e vita organica, dando forma a paesaggi urbani adattivi e resilienti.
La mostra ha incluso anche “Strange Objects, New Solids, and Massive Things”, la più recente pubblicazione dello studio, che mostra l’approccio innovativo di Archi-Tectonics all’architettura ibrida, sottolineando l’impegno per l’innovazione e il design generativo.

Archi-Tectonics, the award-winning and WBE-certified architecture firm with offices in New York City, Amsterdam, and Hangzhou, founded in 1994 and currently led by Winka Dubbeldam and Justin Korhammer, has presented its latest design research project, Synthetic Natures. Through digital design, cutting-edge fabrication techniques, and multifunctional landscapes, the firm redefines the boundaries of contemporary architectural practice.
The exhibition explored the fusion of synthetic and natural systems, imagining the built environment as a dynamic, bio-integrated ecosystem. Addressing the challenges of the Anthropocene, Synthetic Natures investigates hybrid materials and responsive design strategies that dissolve the boundaries between architecture and organic life, shaping adaptive and resilient urban landscapes.
The exhibition also featured ‘Strange Objects, New Solids, and Massive Things‘, the latest publication from the studio, showcasing Archi-Tectonics’ innovative approach to hybrid architecture, underscoring its commitment to innovation and generative design.
