HEAVY METAL – mobili lineari in lamiera di ferro grezzo

Da sempre per qualche ragione abbiamo amato il ferro come materiale per costruire.

Il ferro è pesante, è duro, è sinonimo di forza, resistenza e se si vuole anche di violenza o aggressività.

Non a caso si usa dire “mettere a ferro e fuoco” qualcosa per dire che si compie un atto non propriamente gentile.

Ma per noi è diverso. Per noi il ferro, se capito, può essere poesia, grazia, bellezza e fascino. Soprattutto se lasciato al suo stato naturale, grezzo, sincero, mai mascherato o nascosto.

Al nostro ferro piacciono le saldature, le piegature, le fresature, le macchie e le “umane” imperfezioni che si porta addosso.

Sarà pesante, non lo nasconde, ma sa essere anche leggero, addirittura morbido.

I nostri HEAVY METAL , sono oggetti in lamiera grezza di diversi spessori, piegata e saldata sempre in maniera rigorosamente lineare. Sono delle linee di ferro.

Sono oggetti artigianali ripetibili ma unici in quanto nessun pezzo sarà mai uguale a quello precedente.

HEAVY METAL – linear furniture made of raw iron sheet

For some reason we have always loved iron as a building material.

Iron is heavy, it is hard, it is synonymous with strength, endurance, and if you want, also with violence or aggression.

It is no coincidence that it is used to say “ironing” something to mean that one performs a not-so-kind act.

But for us it is different. For us, iron, if understood, can be poetry, grace, beauty and charm. Especially if left in its natural, raw, sincere state, never disguised or hidden.

Our iron likes the welds, the bends, the millings, the stains, and the “human” imperfections it bears.

It may be heavy, it does not hide it, but it can also be light, even soft.

Our HEAVY METAL, are rough sheet metal objects of different thicknesses, bent and welded always in a strictly linear way.

They are iron lines.

They are repeatable but unique handcrafted objects in that no piece will ever be the same as the previous one.
